On 15th November 2011 the National Institute for Higher Security and Justice Studies (INHESJ) organised in Paris a seminar devoted to the theme of "European Security and Justice" in which the Chairman of the Robert Schuman Foundation Jean-Dominique Giuliani took part.

On 8th November 2011, the Robert Schuman Foundation organised a seminar together with the French delegation at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, on "the future of the Council of Europe in the light of 60 years experience" at the Palais du Luxembourg (Paris). Many experts from the political and academic spheres took part in discussions, which reviewed the history of the Council of Europe, the driving role played by the parliamentary assembly and the contribution the European Council makes to fundamental rights.

On 8th November 2011 the chairman of the Robert Schuman Foundation, Jean-Dominique Giuliani, took part in the 10th congress on European Security and Defence in Berlin. He spoke on "The New Challenges facing European Defence and Security: which answers can NATO and the EU provide?".

On 25th October 2011 the Chairman of the Robert Schuman Foundation, Jean-Dominique Giuliani, took part in a conference in Kyiv (Ukraine) organised by the National Civil Service Academy on "Relations between the European Union and Ukraine." He spoke on the future of relations between the EU and Ukraine. Mr Jacques Barrot, former Minister, member of the Foundation`s administrative board, member of the Constitutional Council and former Vice President of the European Commission, spoke on the theme of "Rule of Law, Democracy, Freedom and Justice, the Intangible Values of the European Union".

The Robert Schuman Foundation in partnership with the Centre for European Studies (CES) organised a conference on 19th October 2011 at the Luxembourg Palais (Paris) on the theme of "freedom in the days of the internet".

The President of the Robert Schuman Foundation, Jean-Dominique Giuliani took part in the UMP Parliamentary Days which were on 13th and 14th October 2011 in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire (France). He spoke on 14th October at the first round table of the morning entitled "Europe in the world".

The Franz Stock Meetings, in partnership with the Collège des Bernardins and the support of the Robert Schuman Foundation, presented in Paris a seminar on 7th and 8th October 2011 on Christian resistance to nazism in France and Germany (1904-1948).

The Robert Schuman Foundation, together with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the CEDEM, organised a conference in Montenegro on 29th and 30th September 2011 on the European integration of the Western Balkans. Jérôme Chartier MP, Jean-Dominique Giuliani, Chair of the Robert Schuman Foundation, as well as Gaëlle Pério, journalist and specialist in the Balkans spoke during the debates over the issues at stake in terms of this integration.

The Robert Schuman Foundation in partnership with the European Commission's DG Education and Culture, the Polish Robert Schuman Foundation, the Karamanlis Institute for Democracy organised a conference on 21st September 2011 at the European Parliament in Brussels entitled "Women for Europe and the Citizens' Initiative".

On 6th July 2011 the chairman of the Robert Schuman Foundation, Jean-Dominique Giuliani, took part in a conference at the Assemblée Nationale (Paris) entitled "Donner un nouvel élan à l'action de l'Europe dans le Monde" (Giving Europe new Impetus in the World) which was organised by the French Association of the Communities and Regions Council of Europe. He spoke at a round table on the following issue: "Is there a European model for peace and stability?"
