Seminar on tasks and functioning of the Robert Schuman Foundation

On 16th December the Robert Schuman Foundation hosted a group of students studying for a Masters Degree in "Teaching, Education and Training" and presented them with the functioning and the tasks of the think-tank that works for Europe. Magali Balent, Projects Director at the Foundation spoke to the students and gave a lecture on the theme of "The Robert Schuman Foundation, a European player at the time of euroscepticism: functioning, tasks and the promotion of European integration."
What kind of healthcare for Europe in the future?

As part of the 13th "Rencontres de la Fédération de l'Hospitalisation Privée" (FHP), which will take place in Marseilles on 3rd and 4th December, Jacques Barrot, former Healthcare and Social Security Minister and Member of the Robert Schuman Foundation Board is holding a conference on the theme "What kind of healthcare for Europe in the future?" on 4th December at 3pm.
The EU and financing the economy long term

The Robert Schuman Foundation is organising a meeting on 3rd December with Philippe Maystadt, former President of the European Investment Bank and Special Advisor to the European Commissioner responsible for making proposals in view of increasing the EU's influence in setting down and adopting accounting standards. Discussions will focus on "The EU and financing the economy long term".
Defence: New Challenges to Europe

On 26th and 27th November 2013 the 12th congress on European Security and Defence took place in Berlin. Several personalities took part. A round-table on Europe was organised notably in the presence of Hans-Gert Pöttering, former President of the European Parliament, Chairman of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and Jean-Dominique Giuliani, Chairman of the Robert Schuman Foundation.
Franco-German outlook for the EU

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of Robert Schuman the Robert Schuman Foundation is organising a conference together with the General Council of Moselle on "Franco-German outlook for the EU" on 21st November 2013 at 5pm at the Robert Schuman House in Scy-Chazelles. Doris Pack and Nathalie Griesback MEPs as well as Bernard de Montferrand, former Ambassador of France in Germany and Ronja Kempin, Research Director at SWP, will be taking part in the debate.

Seminar on the euro zone crisis for students at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad

The Robert Schuman Foundation hosted a delegation of American students in its offices on 22nd October 2013 as part of the DIS exchange programme (Danish Institute for Study Abroad). The debates, with Thierry Chopin, Studies Director at the Foundation and Jean-Paul Betbèze, General Manager of Betbèze Consulting SAS and member of the Foundation's Scientific Council, focused on the euro zone crisis and its effects on the EU.
