Jean-Claude Juncker, Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and President of the Eurogroup was received at the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences in Paris. He was elected Foreign Associate Member on October 9, 2006 to replace the vacant seat of Léopold Sédar Senghor, who died on December 20, 2001. The welcoming speech was made by Michel Albert, Perpetual secretary and member of the Robert Schuman Foundation's board of directors.

Michel Foucher will be the guest at a roundtable organised by the Foundation for Political Innovation discussing "Different European perspectives for a revival of the European Union", where he will present the results of the 200 interviews he conducted all over Europe.

On January 15th, the Foundation organised, along with the Association for Civilian Concord and Fraternity in the Balkans, a conference entitled "Nationalisms and Religion in the western Balkans."
