Developing the Franco-German relationship - Fifty years after the Elysée Treaty

As part of the preparations for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Elysée Treaty the Robert Schuman Foundation and the Cerfa (IFRI) organised a seminar in Paris entitled "Developing the Franco-German Relationship - 50 years afer the Elysée Treaty" on 23rd October 2012. This seminar focuses on three round tables - the first chaired by Jean-Dominique Giuliani focuses on the theme "Youth, training, employment, which opportunities are open to France and Germany during the Crisis?", the second focuses on "Which institutional framework for Franco-German cooperation in tomorrow's Europe?" and the third on "The Future of the CSDP: is a Franco-German avant-garde possible?"

The Chairman of the Robert Schuman Foundation, Jean-Dominique Giuliani, inaugurated the debate and chaired a round table that focused on "Youth, training and employment : which opportunities are open to France and Germany during the crisis." The second focused on "Which institutional framework for Franco-German cooperation in tomorrow's Europe?" and the third on "The Future of the CSDP: is a Franco-German avant-garde possible?". The seminar was concluded by the French Minister responsible for European Affairs, Bernard Cazeneuve.
