The New Monetary Convention between the EU and the Principality of Monaco
Brussels - 28/11/2011
On 28th November 2011 the Robert Schuman Foundation and the Principality of Monaco organised a conference in Brussels with Michel Roger, Minister of State for the Principality of Monaco, on the theme of "Monaco and the Euro: the new monetary convention between the EU and the principality of Monaco."

His Excellence, Mr Michel Roger, Minister of State of the Principality of Monaco, presented the new monetary convention between the European Union and Monaco on the occasion of a conference moderated by Chair of the Foundation, Jean-Dominique Giuliani. This new convention is part of a series of monetary agreements concluded between Monaco and France since the Middle Ages. It is supposed to foster dialogue between Monaco and the various competent European authorities, notably the European Commission and the European Central Bank, as well as with France. More generally it is part of the economic, financial and monetary framework for cooperation between the Principality and the EU and shows that during the crisis, Monaco has decided to demonstrate its confidence in the euro.
