Conference on the future of the European Union in Sofia

As part of "Spring for Europe" a conference on the future of the European Union took place on 27th May in Sofia together with a number of personalities including Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, Gueorgui Parvanov, Alain Lamassoure, Meglena Kuneva and Jean-Dominique Giuliani. This conference was organised by the embassies of France and Germany in Bulgaria with the support of the Robert Schuman and Konrad Adenauer Foundations.

As part of "Spring for Europe", a conference on the future of the European Union was held in Sofia on 27th May together with personalities such as:

• Valéry Giscard d'Estaing: former President of the Republic of France, former Chairman of the Convention on the future of Europe
• Gueorgui Parvanov: President of the Republic of Bulgaria
Alain Lamassoure, former Minister of the Republic of France, MEP, former European Parliament representative at the European Convention
• Meglena Kuneva, European Commissioner for Consumer Protection
• Jean-Dominique Giuliani, Chairman of the Robert Schuman Foundation.

This conference was organised by the Embassies of France and Germany in Bulgaria with the support of the Robert Schuman and Konrad Adenauer Foundations.
