The Robert Schuman Foundation, chaired by Jean-Dominique Giuliani, organised a debate held November 22nd in Brussels on the theme "How to speak to citizens about Europe?". At the event, French government spokesman and Secretary of State Laurent Wauquiez spoke about the conception of communication in Europe. According to Mr. Wauquiez, the European Union should place more value upon its daily interaction with citizens. He also emphasized the importance of giving a "festive spirit" to European Union gatherings in order to bring Europeans closer together.
